The IT Academy’s Cyber Security Information Assurance program focuses on the education, technologies, and policies needed to protect clients’ hardware, information, and other assets. Students learn the toolkits and skills necessary to determine the required confidentiality and integrity of an asset, and to differentiate malicious threats from those that are harmless. Courses specific to our CSIA track are included in the program along with a curriculum that integrates areas of study in information assurance and intelligence analysis. Those who seek to work in areas of information & data security, system security, network security, cyber security, cyber-intelligence, intelligence analytics, or cyber-crime prevention will benefit from this program track.
Our Cyber Security program prepares its graduates for career-track jobs in the emerging Cyber Security, information assurance/security fields. These information security professionals are required to be proficient in a variety of current and emerging technologies—computer and network security, digital forensics, cryptography, web security, biometrics, compliance & legal issues, software security, mobile security, and cloud computing security.

The curriculum for this hands-on Cyber Security Information Assurance program is aligned with the core curriculum for information assurance degrees set forth by the National Security Agency (NSA). The curriculum is also designed to align with the knowledge units covered in many industry-recognized professional certifications in information security, such as Network+, Security+, CEH, and Vulnerability Management.
The Information Technology Academy’s Cyber Security Information Assurance track prepares students to become productive members of the IT Workforce. When students complete these courses and passed their respective certifications exams, they will be employable in roles ranging from Security Specialist to Senior Security Anaylist with government agencies, government contractors and private corporations. The skills learned in these courses, plus the security tools learned through the hands-on training method will make graduates of the program ideal employment candidates in combating cyber warfare.
